Meet the Owner, Joy Brannen, CPA

Joy Brannen is the founder of Joy of Taxes, where she advises entrepreneurial attorneys on how to retain higher profits through premium outsourced accounting and worry less about the IRS.

A licensed CPA with over 10 years of experience, Joy invested the majority of the first decade of her career in public accounting and consulting where she worked with a number of leading financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies.

From a young age, Joy had an affinity for numbers, business, and saving money. She first began her journey to becoming a CPA in a high school accounting course where her teacher told the class, "accounting is the language of business." With that she knew she wanted to pursue a career in accounting.

After several years of working in corporate, Joy realized there was a tremendous need for her skillset amongst small business owners. Understanding the language of business, she has taken her corporate experiences and applied the same principles to help small businesses elevate to the next level and achieve record-breaking profits. As the spouse of an entrepreneurial attorney, Joy understands the challenges but more importantly the amazing potential it has to lead to true financial freedom.

Joy is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and find the joy in taxes! When Joy isn't saving her clients time and money you can find her enjoying the beach, sunshine and embarking on new adventures with her husband and three children.
